Aftercare

This after care sheet is to help you achieve the best result by taking care of your brows. Please follow instructions carefully as it is up to you to have them heal properly. If you are needing a touch up, book an appointment on my website within 6-12 weeks so the skin can fully heal. Anytime before this will not be accepted as it can cause trauma and scarring to the skin where the procedure was done.

What NOT to do:

  • Do not touch the healing area with your fingers, they have oils and bacteria on them that will cause infection and irritation.

  • Do not wet the brows for the first 7 days. If they do get wet, pat them off with a clean paper towel instantly.

  • No exercise the first 7-10 days.

  • No direct makeup, dirt/gardening, fingers, bodies of water, skin care products (face masks, moisturizers, lotion), fragrances, direct sun light or tanning booth, soap, sauna, excessive sweating, animals around your brows as they heal. The first 7-10 days are the most important.

  • No waxing or threading during heal time.

  • No picking scabs or scratching, the brows will be itchy. This can cause permanent scarring.

  • If you sleep on your face, allow yourself to use a satin/silk pillow case to avoid sticking during the healing time. If not, sleep on your side.

  • You may not give blood 1 year following any permanent makeup procedure. (Rules from Red Cross)

Contact your physician if bruising, swelling,

excessive redness or unusual itching, blistering occur.

What to do instead:

  • Healing can take up to 30+ days. Everyone heals differently so follow instructions carefully. Failure to follow can result in patchy brows.

  • Apply thin layer of A&D Ointment on the 3rd day until brows scab off completely. Use a clean q-tip

  • Take photos once healed and please send them to me!

Most importantly, your color will fade. They are darker initially and then they lighten up after healing. It is a two step process, that requires a touch up to perfect the brows and have them last. Touch up as needed after to maintain the look you want.
